Find the exact branch tip
Commit+ records the current local branch tip and matches the repository to your connected GitHub or GitLab account.
PR-backed merge detection
Commit+ checks the provider record behind each branch, marks exact tips that were merged, and verifies them again before cleanup—so finished work is easy to find without risking a branch that still matters.
How it works
Commit+ records the current local branch tip and matches the repository to your connected GitHub or GitLab account.
A Merged pill appears only when a merged pull request or merge request contains that exact tip. Git ancestry alone is not treated as proof.
Before removing anything, Commit+ confirms the branch has not moved, is not protected or in use, and still has valid provider evidence.
Control-click a local branch, open Merge Status, and choose Review Merge Evidence…. Commit+ shows the matching pull request or merge request, target branch, check time, and reviewed tip.
Merge status is checked when the repository opens and after manual fetches. You can refresh it from the branch menu at any time, or hide Merged pills for one repository in Repository Settings → Advanced.
